Welcome to Sunderland's newest and most authentic wedding and special event venue! Newly refurbished with all its history restored, Webster's Ropery built in 1793 is the perfect place to make memories. Whether you are looking to 'Tie The Knot' or celebrate a special occasion, we have the perfect surroundings with the best service to match!
The venue, set on the bank of the River Wear, has a large outside space with seating and exceptional views over the river. Cobbled paths with trees and shrubs offer great photograph opportunities along with the backdrop of the building. The grounds are very private with a secluded, tranquil setting along with private parking. The venue is away from the hustle and bustle yet close to major roads and short access to the town centre.
Now, let me introduce you to the man infront of the lens, Mr Sean Kilmartin. A man of many words, brimming with charm, charisma and tight polo shirts. As we begin to lay the events of the past 12 months to rest, we all need to band together, help one another to pick up where we left off, and move forward with some real energy and creative zest.
As part of Sean’s renaissance and in preparation of the wedding season kicking off once more, It was with great pleasure that we worked together to create this promotional video for Webster’s Ropery, allowing couples to not only enjoy the venue online, but to also get a taste of the character within those magnificent walls who has brought the place back to life.
